Tamis Consulting Write to Tamis

How Tamis works

Every service follows steps set in advance, and every step ends with a document you can review.

Product development in six steps

From the idea to the sales file. At every step you receive something you can review, test and pass on to your manufacturer.

  1. Framing

Tamis sets the goal, the target customers, the target price and the constraints with you, before the first prototype.

Deliverable: a brief signed by you.

  2. Recipe

Tamis tests, adjusts and then confirms the recipe on prototypes.

Deliverable: the final recipe and its data sheet.

  3. Shelf life

Tamis measures how long the product keeps, and under which conditions.

Deliverable: a shelf-life report and the recommended best-before date.

  4. Label

Tamis writes the label under Swiss law, with the basics of self-monitoring.

Deliverable: a compliant label and a basic self-monitoring file.

  5. Transfer to the manufacturer

Tamis supports the move from the pilot plant to series production, with your manufacturer.

Deliverable: a transfer file and the result of a pilot trial.

  6. Sales file

Tamis calculates the cost of the product and prepares what you need to present it to a buyer.

Deliverable: the cost price, a recommended price and a presentation file.

Example deliverables

Two documents for an imaginary product, an elderflower and ginger syrup: the recipe data sheet (step 2) and the label (step 4). Both pages print at actual size and can be downloaded as PDF.

The values are for illustration only: they replace neither an analysis nor an official check.

  2. Trials

Targeted trials in the pilot plant, until a solution works.

  3. Report

The cause, the solution, the adjusted recipe and what remains to be done for production.
